Entry and student residence

Admission, entry and residence are separate procedures. Check official rules for your nationality and status, and coordinate with the university’s international office.

The official application route

Use official e-İkamet and current university instructions. Student, passport and address evidence form part of the file. Confirm deadlines and submission steps for your status; approval and processing times are not guaranteed.

  • Passport and previous-permit validity where relevant
  • Student and address evidence as instructed
  • Notifications and additional-document requests

Check insurance early

Confirm SGK eligibility and timing directly; official guidance refers to three months after enrollment for eligible students. Private insurance may be needed without valid public coverage.

Residence does not replace a work permit

Working requires a separate permit. Official guidance places associate and undergraduate students’ work rights after the first year, subject to permission. Neither employment nor a permit is guaranteed.
